Wiggs' training in progress

It's been 3 years in the making, but the trainer we are working with is very good and I have found that her methods work with Wiggs.

Let the countdown begin!

I convinced DH that we should get a 2nd dog as a companion to Wiggs, but also as a protector since crime seems to have escalated since our city hit the 1 000 000 people mark.

After running through different breed standards and settling on another medium or large breed dog, we selected to research more about German Shepherds. Eight months later, after the deluge of information became clear as mud, I started contacting my short list of breeders which took me months to narrow down since I had so many criteria.

After many e-mails, I finally chose the breeder who I felt most comfortable with and the waiting began. The first initial disappointment was that the litter didn't take, but the breeder offered us a choice of a female puppy from his current on the ground litter (4 weeks old) or a 7 month old male. With Wiggs being Wiggs, we decided on the female puppy and she should be arriving at the end of June!
